Certification Overview
SABER (Saudi Product Safety Program) is a product safety compliance system implemented by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO). Officially launched in 2019, it replaced the previous SASO certification and became the mandatory certification for all products entering the Saudi market.
Key Features
- Mandatory Certification: All regulated products must obtain certification through the SABER system
- Dual Certificates: PC (Product Certificate of Conformity) + SC (Shipment Certificate of Conformity)
- Risk Classification: Implements differentiated controls based on product risk levels
- Digital Process: Entire process completed through the SABER online platform
Certification Objectives
SABER certification ensures imported goods comply with Saudi technical regulations and safety standards, protects consumer rights, and facilitates trade. Through risk assessment and product classification, the system implements differentiated management for products with different risk levels.
